Find out how we can help you, safety is our game…

Sometimes, as adults, we think we are big and tough. But we forget just how vulnerable our children and us can be – especially when nature rings its bell and calls in the Summer season along with all of nature’s little allergy causing friends.

And in this pack of friends comes armies of mites, all different types and species. But included in this lot are the mites, which can cause damage to humans.

Not only do many types of mites burrow under the skin to lay their eggs, but also it is the all too common dust mite’s simple miniscule excretions that can cause the human body allergic reactions by causing the body to produce histamine.

Now although the common dust mite doesn’t burrow under our skin or feed off our live bodies, he does eat our dead skin cells, and fascinatingly can become airborne at any whim! Because we spend most of our time at home, it is this space and predominantly our bedroom and mattress  where most dust mites are found. Now he and his mates can’t harm you directly, but it is the air and bed that we need to purify in order that his excretions cannot cause any allergic reactions. Otherwise, these very tiny excretions that go unnoticed by the human eye can be swallowed and absorbed into the cells of our lungs and our skin where the allergic reaction can begin.

At SoPure Laboratories we have developed a range of – let us say, “mite busting” – products that are as effective on germs as they are on the mite brigade.

How our products work is that this MiteFree Dust Mite range targets and neutralizes the effect of dust mites. To clarify the effect that the dust mite has on humans is explained simply in one word: excretion. It is the excretion of each dust mite that can cause an allergic reaction in the human body by causing it to produce histamine.

Scientists have proved that our homes are breeding grounds for bacteria, fungi, mould and millions of dust mites.

Dust mites come marching in to our homes because they know how many dead skin flakes we naturally shed, especially when we are sleeping in bed.

Dust mites then excrete and this can cause serious health problems for us, including allergies, learning problems and complications associated with ADD and ADHD.

The mites are known to concentrate in high traffic areas in homes and on certain furniture items, especially beds, upholstered lounges, chairs and in shaggy carpets. Here they feed on dead human skin scales and secretions, house dust, fungal spores, pollen grains, plant fibres and insect scales.
