Asthma is on the increase.
Statistical analytics from WHO – World Health Organization – shows a 40% increase in the hospitalization of asthma victims globally. Why such an increase? The USA Institute of Chest Physicians point towards a drastic increase in domestic pet ownership, incorporate this with tight living spaces and a poor ventilation of apartments.
The Toronto Star indicates that “animal fur, feathers or even skin can directly spark an asthma attack. Dust-mites, carcinogens from cigarette, flower scents and mold can cause asthma attacks. Cat dander is said to be the common allergen. Canada alone host on average 1 million+ of asthmatic sufferers with around 400 deaths yearly. Asthma is still the leading number one allergic killer. However, most people who have asthma can always be assured of living a normal life.
Asthma is perpetuated when free transportation of oxygen to the lungs becomes blocked from moving in and out. Breathing exercises can greatly stimulate the passageway openings through which oxygen travels. Removing the stimuli in the work area and home environment is also vital to decrease unnecessary asthma attacks. Asthmatic sufferers have to be encouraged to live an active lifestyle as far possible. An active lifestyle can never be substituted because it gives increase resistance and promotes a healthier you. Decreasing the presence of Dust mites in a living area is also a huge help to Asthma sufferers.
